Amanda Palmer's The Art of Asking I finally got this book!

I finally got my own copy of Amanda Palmer’s recently released book “The Art of Asking”.  Ask any of my students and they will probably acknowledge the obvious influence her TED Talk has on the way I teach music business.   Her message to artists on the importance of real connections with the audience and fans just made so much sense to me. This talk has made so much of an impact on me that I even this quote from her talk printed on a shirt.

“I think people have been obsessed with the wrong question, which is, ‘How do we make people pay for music?’ What if we started asking, ‘How do we LET people pay for music?’” — Amanda Palmer (TED Talks “The Art of Asking”, February 2013)
